Year 1 Teacher – Early Years Education

About the role

Jumeirah International Nurseries is looking for enthusiastic Year 1 Teachers to join its network of British Early Childhood Centres in Dubai. You will be responsible for delivering the British curriculum to children aged 5‑6 years, fostering a love of learning in a safe and stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Year 1 lessons in line with the British Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records.
• Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity, independence and respect.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and senior staff to develop cross‑curricular activities and school events.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student development and wellbeing.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Ed. degree or a B.A. with PGCE and QTS qualification.
• Relevant experience teaching children aged 5‑6 years in a British‑based curriculum.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional work ethic.
• Passion for inspiring young learners and embodying the centre’s core values.

Required skills

• Curriculum planning and delivery for Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Classroom management and behaviour guidance.
• Student assessment and progress reporting.
