Assistant Resident Engineer – Wet Utilities

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Resident Engineer – Wet Utilities to join our Abu Dhabi team. In this position you will support the senior resident engineer by providing technical oversight and on‑site coordination for water supply, wastewater and drainage projects.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and inspect wet‑utilities construction activities, including water distribution networks, treatment plants and drainage infrastructure.
• Prepare daily reports, technical documentation and site records to track progress and regulatory compliance.
• Conduct quality‑assurance inspections and material testing to ensure work meets project specifications.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors and project teams to resolve technical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and design documents for compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of as‑built documentation, technical reports and project correspondence.
• Support scheduling, planning and organization of site activities and resources.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety and environmental regulations on‑site.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of wet‑utilities systems and infrastructure construction.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior engineers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of local regulations and industry standards for water, wastewater and drainage projects.
