Civil Design Coordinator – Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Design Coordinator to lead civil and structural design coordination throughout the project lifecycle in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures engineering deliverables meet project specifications, codes, standards and schedules while supporting construction execution.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate civil and structural design activities, ensuring timely preparation, review and submission of engineering deliverables.
• Review drawings, calculations, specifications and design reports for completeness, constructability and compliance.
• Manage design interfaces with other disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical, MEP, Architectural, etc.) and resolve technical issues.
• Handle design comments, review cycles and client/consultant feedback to obtain approvals.
• Support construction teams by clarifying drawings, resolving RFIs and coordinating design modifications.
• Monitor design schedule, identify potential delays and coordinate corrective actions.
• Maintain traceability of design deliverables, RFIs, comments and approvals throughout the project.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of civil/structural engineering experience, including design review and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Experience on EPC, infrastructure, utilities or major construction projects, preferably in UAE/GCC.
• Professional engineering membership or certification (advantageous).
• Proven experience coordinating with clients, consultants, subcontractors and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of applicable civil/structural codes, standards and project specifications.
• Excellent communication in English; Arabic language skills are a plus.
