Senior Draftsman – Power Projects (HV/EHV Substations)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Draftsman to independently prepare and develop civil and electrical drawings for power projects, focusing on high‑voltage (HV) and extra‑high‑voltage (EHV) substations. The role involves creating 2D drawings, 3D BIM models and coordinating multidisciplinary designs to meet client and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare civil and electrical drawings, equipment layouts, cable trench and routing plans, earthing and foundation details for HV/EHV substations.
• Develop detailed shop, construction and as‑built drawings based on approved design/IFC documents.
• Create and update 2D AutoCAD drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit.
• Perform BIM coordination, model reviews and clash detection using Revit, Navisworks or equivalent tools.
• Coordinate with design engineers, consultants and site teams to resolve drawing and interface issues.
• Ensure timely submission of drawings, BIM deliverables and final as‑built documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Architectural Engineering, CAD/Drafting or related field.
• 8–10 years of drafting/design experience, preferably on power projects and HV/EHV substations.
• Proven ability to independently produce civil and electrical drawings and manage multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong knowledge of substation layouts, equipment foundations, cable trenches, earthing and related civil works.
