Backend Developer (Node.js/TypeScript)

About the role

IFZA Dubai is looking for a Backend Developer to design, build and maintain server‑side features for its digital products. You will work within an established architecture, delivering well‑tested code and collaborating with product, design and frontend teams to bring end‑to‑end solutions to market.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, Prisma and PostgreSQL.
• Design, implement and document RESTful APIs with proper validation, authentication and logging.
• Write automated tests and participate in peer code reviews to ensure high code quality.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to contribute React/TypeScript components when full‑stack implementation is required.
• Follow Git‑based workflows, CI/CD pipelines and containerised deployment processes.
• Assist in troubleshooting, performance tuning and continuous improvement of the platform.
• Maintain coding standards, technical documentation and best practices throughout the development lifecycle.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of professional software development experience, primarily with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Strong hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL and ORM tools such as Prisma.
• Solid understanding of REST API design and common authentication mechanisms.
• Familiarity with React and willingness to contribute across the full stack.
• Experience working in Git‑centric, collaborative development environments.
• Ability to work independently and deliver features end‑to‑end.
