Trading Application Support Specialist – Dubai

About the role

Horizon Trading Solutions is seeking a Trading Application Support Specialist to join its Dubai team. You will be the primary technical contact for brokers, investment banks and exchanges, ensuring successful deployment and ongoing support of our electronic trading platform.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse, troubleshoot and resolve client incidents, classify severity, implement work‑arounds and determine root causes.
• Serve as the main point of contact, keep customers informed on ticket progress and produce clear documentation for issue resolution.
• Deploy the trading platform at client sites and deliver training sessions for end‑users and IT teams.
• Provide support to both local and international customers, working Monday‑Friday 8 am‑5 pm with schedule flexibility as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 1‑2 years of experience in client service or finance, preferably within fintech or capital‑market environments.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical and customer‑service skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Fluent in English and Arabic, with excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of SQL/Databases.
• Experience with Java and object‑oriented programming.
• Understanding of APIs, networking concepts and operating systems.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog.
• Knowledge of the FIX protocol (preferred).
