Business Controller – Fashion Retail

About the role

We are seeking a Business Controller to act as a strategic finance partner for our commercial and product teams. Based in Dubai, you will help shape category performance, drive profitability, and build robust controlling frameworks in a fast‑growing fashion retail group.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Buying, Merchandising and Product teams to provide financial insight on sales, margin, stock and markdowns.
• Monitor and analyse P&L by product category, track KPIs such as sell‑through, gross margin, stock rotation and intake margins.
• Identify risks and opportunities, and deliver clear recommendations to improve performance.
• Build and drive budget and forecast cycles at the category level, translating business strategy into financial projections.
• Design and implement controlling tools, reports and processes from scratch, improving data reliability and standardising KPI tracking.
• Conduct deep‑dive analyses using raw data, producing actionable insights rather than static reports.

Required profile

• 4–8+ years of experience in Business Controlling or Commercial Finance.
• Background in fashion retail, fast fashion or FMCG retail is strongly preferred.
• Exposure to category management or merchandising environments.
• Experience in fast‑paced, scale‑up or transformation settings.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
