Business Development Manager - FMCG

About the role

GMG is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand its brand portfolio and revenue across the UAE. The role drives the full commercial cycle from brand scouting to post‑signature onboarding, ensuring each new brand delivers a validated profit and real margin.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a prioritized pipeline of target brands and principals aligned with GMG’s category strategy.
• Conduct category and portfolio gap analysis to identify brands, segments, price tiers and pack formats to pursue.
• Perform due diligence, landed‑cost and margin modelling, and construct business plans and investment cases.
• Lead commercial negotiations, contract signing and onboarding of new brands into GMG’s supply chain, regulatory and route‑to‑market framework.
• Ensure each brand launches against a validated P&L and delivers its committed real margin.
• Develop and manage GMG’s sub‑distributor network in the UAE, defining territories, margin structures, stock commitments and performance KPIs.
• Open new B2B revenue streams across additional channels.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, QA/Regulatory, Legal and Sales teams, and interface directly with brand owners, manufacturers, sub‑distributors and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Experience managing end‑to‑end brand acquisition and commercial negotiations in the FMCG sector.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with multiple internal teams and external partners.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate margins, build business cases and monitor real‑margin performance.
