Butler Service Desk Agent – Telephone Operator

About the role
The Butler Service Desk Agent provides telephone support to hotel guests, handling calls, messages and special requests while ensuring a high level of service and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
- Answer, record, log and process all guest telephone calls, requests and messages.
- Operate the telephone switchboard, manage wake‑up calls, call forwarding, conference calls and TDD relay calls.
- Provide guests with information on internet access and transfer technical issues to the provider’s support line.
- Activate or deactivate guest room message lights and dispatch bell or valet staff when required.
- Follow up with guests to ensure their requests have been resolved to satisfaction.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- No prior work experience required.
- Professional appearance and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Required skills
- Telephone switchboard operation.
- Basic computer and POS system usage.
- Accurate message taking and relay.
