About the role
The Commis II will support the kitchen operations of a 4‑5 star hotel, ensuring food quality, inventory control and smooth service during buffet and à la carte periods.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain an inventory list for the assigned station and assist other chefs when needed.
- Ensure standard recipes, plating guides and food‑labeling are followed at all times.
- Provide daily market lists, receive goods, and control quality and quantity for the outlet.
- Assist the Executive Sous Chef with recipe development, costing and special food promotions.
- Monitor food wastage, maintain records, and apply HACCP standards throughout operations.
Required profile
- Diploma or degree in vocational hospitality.
- 1‑2 years of experience in a 4‑5 star hotel kitchen.
- Ability to work on‑site, punctual and well‑groomed according to hotel standards.
Required skills
- HACCP and food safety knowledge.
- Inventory management and cost control.
- Basic recipe development and costing.
