Construction Equipment Supervisor – HVAC/Mechanical

About the role

The Equipment Supervisor will lead subcontractor activities for static HVAC and mechanical equipment on the Hail & Ghasha project in the UAE. Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will ensure that all plant construction works follow the erection schedule, project documents, quality standards and safety procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Verify supplier material and technical documentation against construction schedules and contractual commitments.
• Review, approve and monitor the implementation of subcontractor method statements on site.
• Enforce HSE procedures and standards for static equipment and actively participate in site HSE activities.
• Monitor progress, identify delays and drive corrective actions to keep the schedule on track.
• Inspect equipment and workmanship to ensure compliance with design, safety and quality requirements; sign certificates as required.
• Maintain a non‑conformity register for each subcontractor and coordinate resolution.
• Detect design errors, propose corrections or request engineering changes.
• Approve subcontractor progress status sheets and manage vendor specialists.
• Support the Contract Manager/Engineer in pricing, subcontract amendments and claim analysis.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of experience supervising static HVAC/mechanical equipment on large‑scale construction projects.
• Proven ability to work with subcontractors, manage documentation and ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards.
