Consultant Neonatologist – American/Australian Board

About the role

Join a leading UAE hospital as a Consultant Neonatologist, delivering expert care to premature, critically ill, and high‑risk newborns in a state‑of‑the‑art NICU and newborn nursery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care to premature and critically ill newborns.
• Manage complex NICU cases, including respiratory distress, sepsis, and congenital conditions.
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilize high‑risk deliveries.
• Oversee mechanical ventilation and other advanced neonatal support systems.
• Monitor nutrition, growth, and development of neonates.
• Counsel and support parents regarding their baby’s condition and treatment plan.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives, and teaching activities.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics and/or Neonatology.
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Neonatology (preferred).
• Consultant‑level experience in Neonatology, preferably in a Level III/IV NICU.
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOHAP licensing.
• Tier‑1/Western qualification (e.g., UK CCT/CCST, American Board, Canadian Royal College, Australian/New Zealand, Irish).
