Data Executive - Immediate Start

About the role

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Data Executive to manage student attendance and punctuality data for a school in Dubai. The role involves working closely with students, parents, teachers and senior leaders to ensure accurate records and timely follow‑up on attendance concerns.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain daily student attendance and punctuality registers.
• Ensure completion of morning and lesson registers within required timelines.
• Follow up on missing registers, unexplained absences and late arrivals, contacting parents when needed.
• Record absence reasons and attendance codes in the school MIS.
• Identify patterns of persistent absence or lateness and escalate to pastoral and senior leaders.
• Produce daily, weekly, monthly, termly and annual attendance reports and analyse data by year group, phase and demographic.
• Support heads of year and senior leadership with attendance analysis and intervention tracking.
• Maintain records of attendance‑related communications and assist with letters and notifications.
• Collaborate with safeguarding and pastoral teams on welfare‑related attendance issues.
• Conduct regular data‑quality checks and contribute to attendance dashboards, KPIs and leadership reports.
• Prepare attendance information for school reviews, inspections and regulatory reporting.
• Promote positive attendance and punctuality initiatives while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a school data, attendance, administration or pastoral role.
• Familiarity with British curriculum schools is desirable.
• Good understanding of school attendance procedures and safeguarding responsibilities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Experience using a school MIS such as SIMS, iSAMS or PowerSchool.
