About the role
The Teaching Assistant will support the classroom teacher in daily activities, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment that promotes the holistic development of young children.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the classroom teacher with lesson implementation, preparation of materials, and classroom setup.
- Support children’s physical, socio‑emotional and language development through diverse activities and supervision.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times, including feeding, toileting, and risk assessments.
- Maintain classroom hygiene, follow cleaning rotas, and monitor supplies and resources.
- Observe and report any signs of emotional, developmental, or health concerns to the teacher or nurse.
Required profile
- Minimum Highschool Diploma; Bachelor in Education or English/Arabic language preferred.
- At least 1 year of similar early‑childhood experience; 2‑3 years preferred.
- Ability to follow nursery policies on safeguarding and positive behaviour management.
- Willingness to attend weekly staff meetings, training workshops, and occasional special functions.
