About the role
The Demi Chef de Partie – Pastry will support the pastry team in preparing high‑quality desserts and cold items for guests at JW Marriott Dubai. The role involves maintaining standards, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and cook pastries, cold foods and special menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Regulate oven, broiler and grill temperatures, and manage thawing of frozen items.
- Maintain food logs, monitor portion sizes, garnish dishes and ensure consistent quality.
- Communicate with chefs and service staff about specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess inventory.
- Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating team members as needed.
Required profile
- Technical or vocational culinary education.
- Minimum 3 years of pastry experience in a hotel or fine‑dining environment.
- Ability to stand, walk and lift up to 25 lb; flexibility to bend, twist and reach overhead.
- Commitment to safety, hygiene and company policies.
