Deputy Director of Physiotherapy

About the role

The Deputy Director of Physiotherapy supports the Director in overseeing clinical, operational and administrative functions of the Physiotherapy Division, ensuring delivery of high‑quality, patient‑centred services that meet JCI and DHA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Director in managing clinical, operational and administrative functions of the Physiotherapy Division.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, ensure compliance with JCI accreditation and DHA regulations, and act as the first escalation point for staff and patient concerns.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary meetings, develop integrated care pathways and monitor quality indicators.
• Lead budgeting, staffing plans and efficient use of space, equipment and consumables.
• Represent the division on hospital committees and communicate updates, achievements and development plans to stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy; Master’s degree in Physiotherapy, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive physiotherapy experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• DHA licence or eligibility.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards, quality improvement methodologies and tertiary‑care hospital operations.
