Director of Interior Design – Real Estate & Asset Development

About the role

The Director of Interior Design will lead the creation and implementation of interior design concepts for Al-Futtaim Real Estate projects, overseeing the process from initial concept through construction documentation. This senior role provides both creative and technical leadership to uphold and elevate interior design standards across new and existing properties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the interior design function and manage multiple projects from concept development to completion.
• Develop and maintain interior design brand standards, guidelines, and technical specifications for FF&E and OS&E.
• Create and enforce design and technical standards, ensuring consistency with Al-Futtaim Private Properties’ vision.
• Assess market trends, define project requirements, and set qualification criteria for selecting designers.
• Define design scope, draft and manage design agreements and contracts, and control design costs.
• Verify and procure design documentation at each stage and conduct on‑site observations to ensure compliance with plans.
• Represent Al-Futtaim Real Estate in meetings reviewing interior design proposals and progress.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level experience in interior design, preferably within real estate or asset development.
• Proven track record of managing large‑scale interior design projects from concept to construction.
• Strong knowledge of FF&E and OS&E specifications and ability to develop design standards.
• Excellent ability to evaluate market trends and select qualified design partners.
• Leadership skills to guide multidisciplinary teams and coordinate with external consultants.
