Dispatcher / Call Taker / Call Centre Operative

About the role

The Dispatcher/Call Taker is the first point of contact for patients, hospitals, clients and international partners. They manage ambulance crew dispatch, coordinate client requests across all ART services and ensure each request is handled from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls, emails and messages in French, Arabic and English, capturing accurate booking details.
• Assign and dispatch crews and vehicles, track their real‑time status and keep the dispatch system up to date.
• Handle client requests for all ART services, including international medical escorts and repatriations, from quoting to completion.
• Coordinate with hospitals, insurers, event clients and international partners, especially French‑speaking ones.
• Build and maintain shift rosters, cover absences and last‑minute changes, ensuring proper staffing for every job.
• Resolve operational problems on the spot and escalate only when necessary.
• Provide clients and patients’ families with clear ETA and job status updates.

Required profile

• Fluent in French, Arabic and English (spoken and written).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in dispatch, call centre, customer service, operations or healthcare coordination.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of requests and make sound decisions.
• Fully available for rotating day and night shifts on weekdays, weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency with email, Microsoft Office or Google tools.
• Experience using dispatch or CRM systems (e.g., Zoho).
• Strong computer literacy and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
