Engine Overhaul Manager – Emirates Engineering

About the role

Join the Emirates Engineering Maintenance Centre (EEMC) in Dubai, a state‑of‑the‑art facility delivering MRO services for Emirates’ fleet engines. As the Engine Overhaul Manager you will lead the overhaul programme, ensuring safety, quality and cost‑effectiveness while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Take overall accountability for turnaround time, cost, safety, compliance and functional leadership of the overhaul process.
• Lead, coach and develop teams of engineers and technicians to plan, organise and execute engine maintenance and overhaul activities.
• Forecast resource needs and ensure appropriate staffing, tooling and facilities are available to meet schedules.
• Manage performance through a robust KPI framework covering operational, financial, safety and compliance metrics.
• Identify, address and escalate issues impacting turnaround, cost or safety outcomes.
• Monitor adherence to safety, quality and regulatory requirements, taking immediate corrective action when needed.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure ongoing compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
• Promote industry best practices and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure staff are trained and qualified according to OEM and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with product managers and key stakeholders to manage disruptions and maintain business continuity.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading engineering and technical teams in an aviation MRO environment.
• Strong knowledge of engine overhaul processes, OEM requirements and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven ability to manage large‑scale operations with a focus on safety, quality and cost control.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with a data‑driven approach.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
