Field Service Manager – Electrical Testing

About the role

Doble Engineering is looking for an experienced Field Service Manager to lead and execute field‑testing projects for electric power utilities, generation plants and industrial facilities. The role combines hands‑on testing, technical leadership, and coordination with sales and solutions teams.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise a team of 4‑5 field engineers, providing technical training and performance oversight.
• Plan and execute field testing of generators, motors, transformers, circuit breakers, cables and related equipment using EMI, PD, acoustic monitoring and off‑line electrical testing methods.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers and sales during project scoping and feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with the Solutions team on the development of EMI test equipment (Portland/Project Spark).
• Prepare and deliver professional technical reports and presentations in English and Spanish.
• Represent Doble at industry forums, client conference committees and revenue‑bearing seminars.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in partial‑discharge testing of transformers.
• At least 3 years of EMI testing experience on rotating machines.
• Proven experience managing personnel, equipment logistics and QA review of technical reports.
• Strong communication skills in English; Spanish is a plus.
