First Officer – Airbus Wide Body

About the role

Etihad Airways is seeking a First Officer to join its rapidly expanding fleet of modern Airbus wide‑body aircraft. Based in Abu Dhabi, you will work in a vibrant, tax‑free environment with clear pathways for career progression to Captain.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Captain in flight preparation, navigation and operation, ensuring compliance with Etihad procedures and regulatory standards.
• Continuously monitor aircraft position, terrain and weather to support safe navigation.
• Provide clear communication and advice to the Captain for safe and efficient decision‑making.
• Uphold high standards of discipline, conduct and personal appearance, representing Etihad professionally.
• Assume command in the event of Captain incapacitation, following rank and company procedures.

Required profile

• Hold a valid Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) or equivalent.
• Minimum total flying time of 2,500 hours (or meet alternative criteria as defined by Etihad).
• Experience operating Airbus wide‑body aircraft preferred.
• Demonstrated professionalism, technical competence and teamwork.
