General Aviation Instructor

About the role

The General Aviation Instructor will deliver classroom and on‑the‑job training to develop and maintain the competence of aircraft maintenance personnel. The role includes assessing trainees, providing remedial instruction, and ensuring training records are accurate.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct classroom and field instruction on aircraft safety principles, technical publications, aviation regulations, maintenance fundamentals, inspections, and servicing of aircraft systems.
• Collaborate with course developers to create and revise instructional materials using the SAT or ADDIE methodology.
• Prepare syllabi and platform‑specific courseware for maintenance training programmes.
• Perform intermediate and final assessments, review evaluation reports, and adjust training as needed.
• Maintain detailed records of student attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate with other instructors and manage general housekeeping of training areas.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience teaching aviation maintenance subjects.
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster teamwork.
• Capability to lead by example and manage training documentation.

Required skills

• Aircraft maintenance knowledge.
• Understanding of aviation regulations and technical publications.
• Experience with maintenance inspections and aircraft systems servicing.
• Instructional design expertise using SAT or ADDIE.
• Syllabus preparation and assessment administration.
