IT Specialist – Hotel IT Support

About the role

As an IT Specialist you will support the IT Supervisor/Manager in installing, maintaining and operating the hotel’s IT hardware and software. You will provide first‑ and second‑level support for PCs, peripherals, mobile devices and telecommunications systems across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain desktops, applications, patches, peripherals and network drives; perform PC moves, additions and changes.
• Provide first‑ and second‑level troubleshooting for hardware, software, network, Wi‑Fi, Internet and IP‑telephony issues, escalating complex problems when required.
• Manage and maintain CCTV systems, assist with IT security and technology asset management, and keep accurate IT asset inventories.
• Monitor daily backups, system interfaces, servers, hardware and system logs.
• Coordinate and supervise third‑party IT contractors and service providers.
• Support hospitality systems such as Opera, Micros, Fidelio, SunSystems and Oasys.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
• 1–2 years of IT support experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities with good communication and customer‑service skills.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and commitment to Rixos standards.
