Lead Commissioning Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

About the role

The Lead Commissioning Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) will head all commissioning activities for the WHT’s Subsea Cable project, ensuring safe and efficient transition of systems from construction to operational hand‑over for offshore and onshore oil & gas assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Electrical and Instrumentation commissioning teams throughout project execution.
• Develop commissioning strategies, execution plans, schedules, procedures and system completion programs.
• Manage and coordinate engineers, supervisors, technicians, vendors and subcontractors.
• Conduct pre‑commissioning activities including system walk‑downs and mechanical completion verification.
• Monitor progress, report milestones and ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements and HSE regulations.
• Oversee start‑up, testing and operational hand‑over of power, control, telecom and safety systems.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading E&I commissioning for large‑scale offshore or onshore oil & gas projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical power systems, instrumentation, control and automation, telecommunications and safety systems.
• Ability to work on a 6‑weeks‑on/3‑weeks‑off offshore rotation.
• Proven track record of delivering projects safely, on time and within budget.
