Lead Engineer – Civil Buildings (Construction)

About the role

Penspen is seeking a Lead Engineer – Civil Buildings to join a PMC project in Abu Dhabi. The role serves as the technical authority for structural works, ensuring design quality, construction execution, and compliance with international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the technical authority for all civil building structural activities.
• Oversee design development, construction implementation, and compliance verification.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project milestones are met.
• Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Civil or a related discipline from a recognized university.
• Minimum 18 years of professional experience, including at least 10 years on mega oil‑and‑gas processing projects.
• Extensive experience in civil/structural design and site supervision, preferably within the UAE/GCC region.
• Familiarity with industrial civil building activities in gas processing projects; ADNOC experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
• Proficiency with Revit.
• Experience using FEM analysis tools.
• Knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes, and API codes.
