Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer

About the role

KBR is seeking a senior professional to lead all Instrumentation & Control (I&C) engineering activities for on‑shore and off‑shore oil & gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves overseeing the full project lifecycle—from concept studies and FEED to detailed engineering—while ensuring safety, reliability and cost‑effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and manage all I&C engineering deliverables, technical integrity and discipline team performance.
• Develop execution strategies, work plans, resource forecasts and delivery schedules.
• Mentor and coordinate a team of engineers and designers to maintain quality and compliance.
• Collaborate with project management, clients, operations and vendors to achieve project milestones.
• Conduct offshore site surveys, brownfield assessments and verify existing installations for design data.

Required profile

• Valid OPITO‑approved T‑BOSIET/BOSIET and H₂S certifications (minimum six months validity).
• Proven experience leading I&C engineering on oil & gas developments.
• Ability to work on a rotational offshore schedule.
