Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer – Offshore Project

About the role

KBR is expanding its Project Management Consultancy team for a high‑profile offshore development in Abu Dhabi. The Lead Instrumentation & Control Engineer will direct all instrumentation, control, safety and automation engineering activities across FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, commissioning and start‑up phases.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Instrumentation & Control discipline team, manage deliverables, resource planning and technical quality.
• Review and approve instrument index, datasheets, hook‑up drawings, loop drawings, cable schedules, JB schedules, installation details, material requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
• Ensure proper selection and specification of field instrumentation such as pressure, temperature, flow, level, analyzers, control valves and shutdown valves.
• Design and implement Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), Fire & Gas Systems (F&G), PLC, SCADA and Integrated Control & Safety Systems (ICSS).
• Guarantee system architecture complies with ADNOC standards and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in and lead functional safety activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading instrumentation and control engineering on offshore projects.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards, safety requirements and cybersecurity guidelines.
• Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and project management.
• Experience covering FEED, detailed engineering, EPC, commissioning and start‑up phases.
