Legal Counsel – International & US Corporate Law

About the role

The successful candidate will serve as the dedicated legal reference for a large‑scale LNG project spanning the UAE, United States and Asian markets. Reporting directly to senior management, the role involves close collaboration with external US counsel and project partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on US corporate matters, including entity structuring, joint ventures, M&A and corporate governance.
• Draft and negotiate international commercial contracts, JV agreements, EPC contracts and offtake arrangements.
• Manage US regulatory compliance for energy and infrastructure assets (FERC, DOE, state approvals).
• Coordinate and oversee external counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support project finance negotiations with international lenders, ECAs and equity partners.

Required profile

• Law degree with admission in a US, European or Canadian jurisdiction.
• 8–12 years post‑qualification experience in an international law firm or in‑house energy/infrastructure team.
• Proven involvement in at least one major capital project (LNG, mid‑stream, power or comparable).
• Ability to work independently as the sole legal function on the project.
• Full mobility for frequent travel to the UAE, United States and Asia.
