Marine Procurement Executive

About the role

A well-established marine company with 35 years of operations in the UAE is looking for an experienced Marine Procurement Executive to manage purchasing and vessel supply operations in Downtown, Dubai. The role covers sourcing technical, engine, deck and cabin stores for commercial vessels, with a strong understanding of marine operations and urgent logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of technical, engine, deck and cabin stores required by commercial vessels.
• Source and purchase marine supplies, equipment, spare parts and other vessel-related requirements.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of essential marine materials.
• Handle urgent procurement requests while keeping supply schedules efficient.
• Work with vessel operators and stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
• Ensure purchased items meet the specifications and operational needs of commercial vessels.
• Maintain effective supplier relationships.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Marine Studies or a related field.
• At least 2 years of direct experience in marine procurement or vessel supply.
• Previous involvement with commercial vessels, offshore operations or marine services is essential.
• Candidates from unrelated sectors such as construction, retail or FMCG without relevant marine experience will not meet the requirements.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of ship management, marine terminology, vessel stores and procurement processes.
• Ability to coordinate urgent deliveries and manage time-sensitive supply requirements.
• Negotiation, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

• Monthly salary of AED 4,500 to 5,500, negotiable depending on experience.
