Mason – Hotel Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The Mason will perform masonry, tiling, plastering and general civil maintenance across Avani Palm View Dubai Hotel & Suites. You will ensure guest rooms, public areas and back‑of‑house facilities are kept to the highest standards while supporting the Engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out masonry, plastering, tiling, grouting and concrete repair works throughout the hotel.
• Repair damaged walls, ceilings, floors, walkways, staircases and other finishes.
• Install, replace and repair ceramic, porcelain, marble and granite tiles.
• Perform minor civil works such as bricklaying, cement rendering, screeding and patch repairs.
• Repair cracks, damaged concrete, expansion joints and waterproofing defects.
• Assist with room refurbishments, renovation projects and preventive maintenance.
• Inspect building finishes, report defects and ensure safety and guest comfort.
• Maintain and operate masonry tools and equipment safely.
• Coordinate with other engineering trades and keep accurate work orders.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow health, safety and fire life‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience in masonry, tiling and general civil maintenance within a hotel or similar environment.
• Ability to work promptly on maintenance requests with minimal disruption to guests.
• Strong attention to safety, quality standards and sustainability practices.
• Good teamwork and communication with engineering colleagues.
