Mechanical Technician – CICPA

About the role

The Mechanical Technician will ensure construction machinery, diesel engines and related mechanical equipment are reliable, safe and ready for deployment to customer sites. You will work both in the workshop and on‑site, performing inspections, servicing, troubleshooting and repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on construction equipment and heavy machinery.
• Inspect equipment to detect faults, wear, damage and potential breakdowns.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems in diesel‑powered machines.
• Disassemble, repair and re‑assemble engines, transmissions, gearboxes, cooling and braking systems.
• Perform routine servicing of generators, pumps, compressors and other plant.
• Document inspections, repairs and component replacements accurately.
• Coordinate with workshop supervisors and operations teams regarding equipment availability.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment and work areas in safe, operational condition.

Required profile

• ITI, Diploma or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or a related trade.
• 1–5 years of hands‑on experience as a Mechanical Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Experience with construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, forklifts, cranes or telehandlers is preferred.
• Familiarity with UAE/GCC work environments and CICPA‑controlled sites is an advantage.
