Production Engineer – Structural (Oil & Gas)

About the role

We are looking for a Production Engineer specialized in structural fabrication to join our offshore construction team in Dubai. The role involves applying engineering knowledge to solve straightforward fabrication and construction challenges while supporting project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review project scope, schedules and specifications to understand deliverables.
• Prepare scope of work and task listings and suggest corrections to the fabrication schedule.
• Assess drawings for constructability, identify special items and subcontract requirements.
• Monitor material reports, raise delivery issues, and verify material requisitions, grades and plate sizes.
• Provide field guidance, ensure compliance with company specifications, and attend production meetings.
• Report weekly fabrication progress, track man‑hours, productivity and scope changes.
• Coordinate look‑ahead plans, material and drawing constraints, and liaise with construction engineers and subcontractors.
• Approve relevant fabrication drawings and review work‑pack deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of oil‑and‑gas experience with a major contractor or consultant.
• Familiarity with API RP2A, AISC and AWS standards.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to provide degree equivalency certificate if required.
