Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will lead cost management for construction projects, ensuring budgets, variations and final accounts align with contractual and client requirements. Working closely with design consultants, contractors and internal teams, the role supports accurate forecasting and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain budgeting, cost control and estimating systems for design consultants.
• Review and validate Bills of Quantities, cost estimates and variation orders against drawings, specifications and contract terms.
• Prepare and update project control budgets, forecasts and final cost reports, incorporating commitments and variations.
• Certify progress payments and final accounts in coordination with the project team.
• Assess change requests, contract trend notices, variation orders and claims for compliance.
• Ensure adherence to Hill International’s quality, environmental, safety and occupational health policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in construction cost management.
• Chartered Quantity Surveyor certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts and cost control principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
