School Counsellor (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Indian Academy Dubai is seeking a professional School Counsellor on a part‑time basis. The role focuses on supporting students’ academic achievement, career readiness, and personal development through a comprehensive counselling programme.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement a school counselling programme that promotes student success.
• Value and respond to the diversity and individual differences of students.
• Ensure equitable access to opportunities and a rigorous curriculum for all learners.
• Provide direct support services through structured interventions.
• Assess student strengths, advocate on their behalf, and deliver group or individual counselling.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, community organisations and other stakeholders.
• Perform assessments, interpret tests and review student records.
• Gather and analyse data to measure programme outcomes and produce regular progress reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in school counselling.
• High integrity, professionalism and sound judgement.
• Strong advocacy and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to respond effectively to a diverse student population.
• Knowledge of various counselling models, practices and resources.
• Emotional intelligence and the capacity to evaluate student needs.
• Master’s degree in Psychology or School Counselling.
