Senior Brand Designer – Brand Foundations

About the role

The Senior Brand Designer will own and evolve Payward’s core brand system, ensuring a coherent visual language across all product pods and brands. You will set the standard for brand quality, provide the tools and guidance teams need, and shape how the brand adapts to new surfaces, AI‑generated outputs, and motion experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve brand guidelines, component libraries, templates, and asset repositories used daily by product pods.
• Raise brand quality across pods by creating clear resources and demonstrating best practices.
• Develop and maintain visual‑identity standards for Payward’s portfolio, keeping them consistent as products evolve.
• Define brand behavior for emerging surfaces, AI‑generated content, motion, and new product categories.
• Collaborate with designers, marketers, and product partners to identify systemic issues and resolve them at the root.
• Translate complex crypto‑rail and on‑chain finance concepts into usable brand guidance.
• Lead design reviews with a constructive, generative approach.
• Stay ahead of evolving design tools, including AI, and guide the brand system’s adaptation.

Required profile

• Deep experience as a brand designer in agency, in‑house, or both, with a proven track record of building and evolving brand systems.
• Strong systems‑thinking mindset; ability to spot patterns and solve structural problems.
• Excellent communication skills for translating technical concepts into clear brand guidance.
• Experience with motion design or AI‑enhanced design workflows.
• Collaborative attitude and ability to work cross‑functionally with product and marketing teams.
