Senior ICA Engineer

About the role

Jacobs is seeking a Senior ICA Engineer to join its UE&I team in Dubai. You will lead the design and delivery of instrumentation and control solutions for complex infrastructure projects across water, wastewater, and oil & gas sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Design instrumentation and control systems for facilities such as compressor stations, process piping, sewerage, drainage, irrigation, and firefighting.
• Create SCADA/PMS, fire & gas, PAGA, access control, and telecom block diagrams, layouts, and cable routing plans.
• Ensure all ICA deliverables comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance on selection, installation, and calibration of instrumentation devices.
• Collaborate closely with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams to capture requirements and ensure satisfaction.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation & Control Engineering or a related field.
• Professional experience in I&C engineering within water/wastewater or oil & gas industries.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills for client and stakeholder interaction.

Required skills

• Instrumentation, PLC, DCS, HMI, SCADA, and communication networks.
• Proficiency in P&IDs, instrument selection, control system configuration, and low‑voltage communications.
• Hands‑on experience with design tools such as SmartPlant INTOOLS or OpenPlant.
