Senior Multidiscipline Inspector

About the role

The Senior Multidiscipline Inspector will lead inspection and verification activities for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with international codes, vendor quality systems and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor/manufacturer documents against purchase orders and material specifications.
• Conduct material receiving inspections for all permanent project material.
• Witness, verify and endorse welding procedures and welder qualifications.
• Review and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and material certificates.
• Monitor, inspect and approve all welding, NDT and PWHT works, including radiographic reports.
• Inspect pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pressurised piping and structural fabrications.
• Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic testing and sign off test logs.
• Inspect surface preparation, painting and insulation works.
• Raise non‑conformance reports and verify corrective actions.
• Prepare concise weekly and monthly inspection reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Welding or Metallurgical Engineering.
• CSWIP 3.2 or AWS‑Senior, CWI or ERS welding inspection certification.
• PCN Level II, BGAS Level 2 or NACE Level 1 certification desirable.
• Minimum 15 years experience in onshore/offshore oil & gas or petrochemical inspection.
• Proven experience with third‑party inspection, EPC contractors and QA/QC documentation.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Computer literate and familiar with ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO and BS codes.

• CSWIP 3.2 certification.
• AWS‑Senior certification.
• CWI certification.
• ERS certification.
• PCN Level II qualification.
• BGAS Level 2 certification.
• NACE Level 1 certification.
• Advanced NDT methods (radiography, ultrasonic, PT, etc.).
• Welding inspection and qualification.
• Pressure vessel, heat exchanger and pressurised piping inspection.
• Hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.
• PWHT monitoring and approval.
• Material receiving inspection.
• Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) review.
• Non‑conformance report handling.
• ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO and BS code knowledge.
• Computer literacy (MS Office).
