Senior Officer HSE Transportation Safety

About the role

The Senior Officer HSE – Transportation Safety will lead the implementation of ADNOC’s transportation safety framework across on‑shore operations. Reporting to the HSE leadership team, you will ensure contractors and internal teams comply with the Transportation Safety Corporate Manual and related HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Implement ADNOC on‑shore transportation safety standards and monitor driver, vehicle and road‑infrastructure data.
• Conduct regular field audits, inspections and spot checks of vehicles, drivers and journey‑management systems.
• Analyse IVMS, AFDD, DMS, telematics and GPS data to identify unsafe trends and drive corrective actions.
• Verify contractor compliance through systematic checks and performance reviews.
• Lead investigations of road‑traffic incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.
• Coordinate with site teams and transportation units to close gaps and ensure timely corrective actions.
• Drive on‑ground transportation safety campaigns and engage drivers and operational teams.
• Liaise with government authorities and ADNOC group companies to share best practices for crash prevention.
• Assess and approve training providers, audit training effectiveness and verify driver competency.
• Provide technical support for journey‑management planning, vehicle safety compliance and monitoring systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HSE, transportation safety or road safety within an industrial or oil‑and‑gas environment.
• Strong knowledge of ADNOC on‑shore transportation safety standards and HSE management systems.
• Ability to conduct audits, inspections and incident investigations independently.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret vehicle and driver performance data.
• Effective communication and coordination with contractors, site teams and external authorities.
