Senior Project Manager (Design)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Design) to lead medium‑size or multiple small design projects in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on delivering infrastructure and road design solutions on time, within budget and to contractual standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution and delivery of projects, developing scope, budgets, schedules, resource plans and implementation strategies.
• Manage client relationships as the primary point of contact, ensuring requirements and deliverables are met.
• Monitor project performance, resources, budgets and schedules, applying corrective actions to mitigate risks.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, subcontractors, vendors and procurement activities for efficient delivery.
• Lead staffing, team development, performance management and mentoring of direct reports.
• Oversee project controls including budgets, schedules, risk, change and recovery strategies.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety, security, contractual obligations, codes, standards and company QMS.
• Manage documentation, reporting, change control and contract variations, negotiating scope changes with clients and subcontractors.
• Chair project meetings, provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and maintain accurate records.
• Support business development by identifying additional service opportunities and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Review bid documents and assist with procurement and tendering activities as required.
• Perform other duties necessary to ensure successful project completion.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in roads and infrastructure design projects.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Project Manager leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven track record delivering complex infrastructure design projects on budget and schedule.
• Strong knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
