Senior Resident Engineer – Infrastructure & Buildings

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Senior Resident Engineer to lead infrastructure and building projects in Abu Dhabi. You will act as the primary liaison between the company, client, and subcontractors, ensuring delivery of high‑quality work on schedule and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise resources and create project teams capable of delivering effective, quality work.
• Represent Parsons with the client and selected subcontractors throughout program execution.
• Negotiate scope changes with the client and key subcontractors and maintain current change orders.
• Participate in regulatory agency negotiations and public meetings on behalf of the client.
• Oversee the development of Project Execution, Health & Safety, and QA/QC plans.
• Establish program requirements, monitor deliverables for compliance, and ensure project goals are met.
• Collaborate with managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, and action plans.
• Identify and address potential cost overruns or schedule delays, advising client and company management.
• Promote technical and commercial excellence through rigorous quality assurance processes.
• Report progress, milestones, and any conditions affecting cost or schedule to senior management.
• Conduct weekly project status meetings and formulate actionable items.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 20 years of experience delivering large‑scale civil infrastructure projects.
