Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer

About the role

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer to support an oil and gas operating company in the UAE. The role focuses on delivering safe, reliable, and cost‑effective maintenance for offshore production rotating assets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead safety leadership initiatives, ensuring zero harm to people, assets, environment and reputation.
• Execute maintenance activities within budget while driving cost optimisation, safety, reliability and productivity improvements.
• Provide day‑to‑day support for offshore rotating equipment, including inspection, preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, root‑cause analysis, spare and obsolescence management.
• Lead troubleshooting investigations and root cause failure analysis, delivering expert technical advice and cost‑effective solutions.
• Develop and optimise rotating equipment maintenance strategies using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) principles.
• Coordinate with workshops, vendors and OEMs for equipment overhauls, repairs and improvements.
• Document and implement service bulletins, product updates and obsolescence actions per OEM guidelines.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure maintainability of new or replacement equipment.
• Manage minor equipment modifications through the management‑of‑change process.
• Maintain the rotating equipment database, including running hours, overhaul schedules and documentation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience in rotating equipment engineering within oil & gas.
• Strong safety leadership and commitment to zero‑harm culture.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance budgets and drive optimisation.
