About the role

The Senior Software Engineer – Python will join an agile feature team at Emirates, delivering end‑to‑end software solutions that support the Emirates Group business. You will work independently on design, development, testing and production support while adhering to the group’s coding standards.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with senior technical engineers to analyse requirements and produce technical designs.
Translate designs into low‑level specifications and production‑ready Python code.
Write secure, optimized code following Emirates Group coding standards and ensure 100% unit test coverage in the CI/CD pipeline.
Participate in on‑call rotation, resolve production incidents within SLA with minimal supervision.
Maintain high code quality by fixing defects, refactoring to reduce technical debt, and adding logging/monitoring hooks.
Stay current with relevant technologies and apply learnings to improve code quality.
Contribute to internal coding standards, playbooks and best‑practice documentation.

Required profile

5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in an agile environment.
Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent) in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to design and develop enterprise‑grade software solutions.
