Senior Specialist Registrar – Physiatrist

About the role

The Dubai Health Authority is seeking a Senior Specialist Registrar in Physiatry to deliver comprehensive patient care across hospital wards and outpatient clinics. This senior medical position involves collaboration with consultants to investigate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of conditions within the specialty.

Key responsibilities

• Provide general care to patients on hospital wards and in outpatient clinics.
• Assist consultants in investigating, diagnosing, and treating patients referred to the physiatry specialty.
• Participate in departmental teaching programs, seminars, and promote clinical research.
• Engage in peer review, quality‑related activities, and clinical/administrative meetings as required.
• Contribute to departmental and hospital‑wide performance monitoring and improvement initiatives.
• Stay current with new procedures and techniques in physiatry.
• Support health education and continuing medical education for junior staff.
• Undertake managerial duties such as workload planning and staffing.
• Maintain professional standards in line with organizational policies and international guidelines.
• Serve on committees and task forces when assigned.
• Perform other duties within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required profile

• Graduation from an accredited medical school with a recognized Membership/Fellowship/Board or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
