Senior Static Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Static Mechanical Engineer to support an oil and gas operating company in the UAE. The role focuses on the operation, maintenance and engineering of static and packaged mechanical equipment across all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operation and maintenance support for static equipment in oil & gas facilities.
• Design and review storage tanks, drums, pressure vessels, flare systems, pipework, valves, pig launchers & receivers, heat exchangers, MEG and reverse‑osmosis packages.
• Ensure compliance with construction, commissioning, inspection and testing requirements for static and packaged equipment.
• Utilise pressure‑vessel design software (e.g., PV‑ELITE, Compress, TANK) to produce and validate engineering calculations.
• Apply relevant discipline codes, standards and safety‑critical equipment performance criteria throughout project phases (Pre‑FEED, FEED, EPC).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of operation/maintenance experience in the oil & gas sector.
• Proven senior‑engineer experience with a consultant or operating company.
• Hands‑on experience across all project phases, from Pre‑FEED to EPC.

Required skills

• Static & Mechanical Packaged Equipment knowledge (storage tanks, drums, pressure vessels, flare systems).
• Pipework, valves, pig launchers & receivers, heat exchangers.
• MEG (Mono‑Ethylene Glycol) and reverse‑osmosis package expertise.
• Pressure‑vessel design software: PV‑ELITE, Compress, TANK.
• Familiarity with construction, commissioning, inspection and testing standards.
• Understanding of discipline codes, safety‑critical equipment and performance standards.
