Simulator Technician

About the role

The Simulator Technician will work under the direction of the Engineer Flight Simulators to ensure Emirates training simulators and associated equipment are fully serviceable and maintained to manufacturer specifications. This full‑time, onsite position involves routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and corrective actions on both flight and cabin training simulators.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance tasks as defined by the simulator manufacturers.
• Carry out visual system calibrations and verify equipment operation against regulatory requirements.
• Identify minor defects, replace or repair components, and document actions taken.
• Escalate non‑correctable faults to the Engineer for further guidance.
• Execute corrective maintenance on visual systems and cabin training equipment.
• Conduct repair work and propose optimal solutions in collaboration with other departments and external contractors.
• Implement configuration changes on simulators, resolve resulting issues, and support equipment overhauls.
• Record simulator usage, defect details and maintenance logs accurately in the designated system.

Required profile

• Vocational diploma or equivalent (12+2).
• At least 1 year of experience in a civil aircraft‑engineering environment.
• Familiarity with electromechanical principles and simulator systems.
• Ability to work under supervision of senior engineers and follow strict quality procedures.
