Smartplant System Architect/Engineer

About the role

Target Engineering is looking for an experienced Smartplant System Architect/Engineer to lead the administration and configuration of engineering design systems on large‑scale EPC projects in the oil and gas sector. You will ensure the SmartPlant suite operates smoothly and supports multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and configure SmartPlant 3D (SP3D) and SmartPlant Foundation (SPF) across EPC projects.
• Create client‑specific status and summary reports.
• Manage and maintain SMAT Systems and related engineering applications.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system users.
• Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to optimise workflows and maintain data integrity.
• Develop and enforce system standards, procedures, and best practices.
• Coordinate system upgrades, patches, and security compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience as a Smartplant System Administrator.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of SMAT Systems, SmartPlant 3D, and SmartPlant Foundation.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and familiarity with engineering data management.
