Special Process Operator

About the role

The Special Process Operator works within the Gas Turbine Cell at the Jebel Ali Service Center, executing critical special‑process operations such as heat treatment, blasting, shot peening and coating. The role demands strong technical capability, disciplined execution, and a high commitment to safety, quality and operational performance while supporting daily production flow.

Key responsibilities

• Execute special‑process operations (heat treatment, blasting, shot peening, coating) following approved procedures, specifications, safety standards and quality requirements.
• Support daily production by ensuring timely, accurate processing aligned with customer demand and operational priorities.
• Monitor equipment performance, perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with maintenance to improve reliability and minimize downtime.
• Follow work instructions, technical process sheets and operating standards to guarantee repeatability and compliance.
• Assist shop‑floor flow and operational efficiency through teamwork and coordination with cross‑functional teams.
• Participate in continuous‑improvement, lean initiatives and site projects aimed at productivity, quality and waste reduction.
• Maintain strong housekeeping, ownership and accountability in the assigned work area.

Required profile

• Diploma in a relevant field or high‑school degree with relevant work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing operations, qualified to operate heat treatment, blasting and shot peening processes.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing safety standards, hazard awareness, quality requirements and special‑process controls.
• Demonstrated leadership on the shop floor, problem‑solving ability and promotion of best practices.
