Specialist Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist – Government Sector, UAE

About the role

A leading government healthcare organization in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist/Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join its advanced cardiac care team. The role involves delivering high‑quality anesthetic care for complex cardiac and cardiothoracic procedures and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthetic management for cardiac and cardiothoracic surgeries, including coronary artery bypass, valve and aortic procedures.
• Conduct detailed pre‑operative assessments of patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Perform intra‑operative hemodynamic monitoring and advanced cardiovascular anesthetic management.
• Utilise and interpret advanced monitoring techniques such as transesophageal echocardiography where qualified.
• Manage peri‑operative complications and care for critically ill cardiac patients.
• Deliver post‑operative support within cardiac intensive care settings.
• Participate in emergency cardiac surgical services as required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to multidisciplinary meetings, audits and quality‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical qualification with recognized postgraduate training in Anesthesiology.
• Post‑specialisation experience in cardiac anesthesia, preferably in a tertiary cardiac centre.
• Internationally recognised credentials such as UK CCT/FRCA, American Board, Australian Board/FANZCA, South African specialist qualification, or equivalent.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to patient safety and evidence‑based practice.
