Specialist Consultant – Oral Medicine (Government Facility)

About the role

A leading Government Healthcare Facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Specialist/Consultant in Oral Medicine to join its specialized dental team. The role involves comprehensive diagnosis and management of complex oral and maxillofacial conditions, working closely with dental and medical specialists to deliver patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of oral mucosal, salivary gland and oral medicine conditions.
• Evaluate patients with complex oral lesions, chronic oral pain, ulcerative conditions and potentially malignant disorders.
• Perform comprehensive clinical examinations and develop appropriate diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Interpret clinical investigations, imaging and laboratory findings.
• Coordinate biopsies and other diagnostic procedures when indicated.
• Manage medically related oral conditions and arrange referrals as required.
• Collaborate with oral and maxillofacial surgeons, dermatologists, oncologists, ENT specialists and other multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to clinical governance and patient‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Recognized dental degree (BDS/DDS/DMD or equivalent) with postgraduate qualification in Oral Medicine.
• Specialist or Consultant‑level clinical experience, preferably in a tertiary, teaching or government healthcare setting.
• Strong expertise in diagnosing and managing complex oral medicine conditions.
• Excellent clinical judgment, diagnostic skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Eligibility for UK CCT, American Board, Australian Board, German Board or equivalent is encouraged.
