Speciality Service Doctor - Aviation Medicine

About the role

The Emirates Group is seeking a qualified Speciality Service Doctor in Aviation Medicine to deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based medical care to employees and their dependents. Working within the Emirates Group Medical Services (EGMS) framework, you will support the health and operational readiness of staff in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide roster‑based clinical assessments and management for staff, including aircrew, engineers and managers.
• Conduct fitness‑to‑work assessments, issue progress reports and support sickness‑absence processes to minimise operational disruption.
• Deliver value‑driven health care in line with local and international best practices, including prescribing, ordering laboratory and radiology investigations, and arranging specialist referrals.
• Document all medical care in the approved electronic medical record system, ensuring compliance with governance and infection‑control standards.
• Manage complex fitness‑for‑work cases, prepare referrals to medical boards and act as an escalation point for EGMS doctors.
• Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives and adherence to Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) regulations.

Required profile

• Medical degree with full registration with the Dubai Health Authority.
• Demonstrated experience in aviation medicine or occupational health.
• Knowledge of DHA and GCAA medical standards and ability to work within budgetary constraints.
• Strong collaborative skills to work with multidisciplinary teams.
